Mushroom & Cheese Omelet

Step 1 Chop Onions
Before making a cheese omelet, prepare veggies. Take a large onion and peel its skin off. Then finely chop it with the help of a sharp knife. Keep it aside for later use.

Step 2 Slice Mushrooms
Secondly, take mushrooms, you can use any edible mushrooms according to your preference. Then slice them thinly into small pieces.

Step 3 Sautee Onion & Mushrooms
Now prepare a veggie filling for the cheese omelet. In a pan heat a tablespoon of butter over medium flame. Then put chopped onions and mushrooms into the pan. Let them sautee for 5 minutes or until they turn golden brown in color.

Step 4 Pour Cream & Spices
Once the veggies are done, pour half a cup of heavy cream into the pan along with salt and black pepper powder. Then let it simmer until it gets thickened. Upon getting desired consistency of the filling, turn off the flame.

Step 5 Whisk Eggs
Then in a mixing bowl, crack three large eggs and beat them well using a hand whisk or egg beater.

Step 6 Pour Eggs into the Pan
Moreover, in another pan heat a tablespoon of butter over medium-low flame. Then pour the beaten egg mixture into the pan and cook for 2 minutes or until the bottom of the omelet turns golden. Then flip the omelet and cook it from another side for more 2 minutes.

Step 7 Add Mushroom Filling & cheese
Finally, add prepared mushroom filling to the center of the omelet. Then sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top of it. Wrap the omelet to the center from both the left and right sides.

Step 7 Serve Mushroom & Cheese Omelette
Once trhe cheese omelet is ready, garnish it with fresh coriander or dill. Then enjoy it with pita bread or french toast.

- Use room-temperature eggs for making omelets.
- For a variation, you can add cherry tomatoes, spinach, and bell peppers as a filling.
- Make sure to immediately add filling and cheese once the omelet is ready, otherwise, it may get burned.
- You can use chicken breast or sausages as a substitute for mushrooms.
- If you want a fluffy omelet then whisk egg white and yolks separately.
